Bushmills 16 year old

Sample 2 of 42 10 ml (3 sip) samples of single malt whiskey a virtual whiskey show.

Appearance: slightly darker than the 10 year old, legs don't really appear to be form8ng on the glass - I'm wondering if this is due to the sample size - 10ml.

Nose:
Sweet biscuit malty, some.honey, seems slightly richer than the 10 year old but quite similar.

Pallet:
Nice, sweet, not mind blowing but enjoyable.

Overall:
Not bad, maybe not enough sample to fully appreciate it. A lighter style of whiskey.

bushmills 10 year old - 10ml sample

The first of a batch of 42 10 ml (3 sip) samples of single malt whiskey. This sample was labled # 15 but I'm choosing my own order. I've previously had 42 samples of American style whiskey, bourbons and ryes however those samples went in a single sitting leaving me with some hilarious notes and a sore head the next day.

Appearance: looks like whiskey very light golden colour, legs not really forming on the glass.

Nose: sweet buttery biscuits, malt, honey, grape must? Something slightly yeast like, almonds. Faint tropical fruit note - pineapple.

Pallet: mmmm sweet, oily, slight herbal -licorice flavour, good mouth feel.

Overall this is a lovely whiskey, very easy going, not overly complex, it's light style of whiskey, a good session whiskey.
